FAQs

Which IELTS is required for UK — normal or UKVI? Most UK universities accept IELTS Academic. However, if your course is below degree level or the university specifically requires it, you need IELTS UKVI (Academic). We confirm this during shortlisting.

What is a CAS letter? The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies is an electronic reference issued by your UK university after you accept the offer and pay the deposit. You cannot apply for the Student Route visa without a valid CAS.

Can I work on a UK Student Route visa? Yes — up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during vacations for degree-level students at publicly funded universities.

What is the Graduate Route visa? After completing your UK degree, you can apply for the Graduate Route to stay and work (or look for work) for 2 years — 3 years for PhD graduates. No employer sponsorship required.

Do I need to show funds held for 28 days? Yes — for dependants and most applicants you must show the required maintenance + tuition in a bank account for at least 28 consecutive days, with the closing balance dated no more than 31 days before application.
